Cherie Noe - MD Medical Director
Dr. Cherie Noe has been the Medical Director at Park Avenue since 1997. She is a graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed her medical residency in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Noe completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Boston Medical Center, and received her Masters in Public Health from Boston University. She has been on staff at Mount Auburn Hospital since 1996, where she practices Geriatrics and teaches residents and fellows. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
Kenneth A. Krutt, MD
Dr. Krutt is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He practices at Lahey Arlington and is on the attending staffs at Lahey Clinic, New England Rehabilitation Hospital, and Park Avenue Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A graduate of New York Medical College (M.D.) and Dartmouth College (A.B.), Dr. Krutt completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University Medical Center. And he is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. YuChou Solomon Shen - Director of Rehabilitation
A Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy since 2003, Dr. Shen has dedicated most of his career to the care of seniors in Arlington and its surrounding communities. He is also a Clinical Instructor for the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. His practice in Geriatric Physical Therapy has received special recognition by the American Physical Therapy Association, including the cover story of PT magazine, the organization’s monthly periodical.
Asif Merchant, MD, FACP, CMD
Dr. Asif Merchant is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Care. He is currently Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, and is Medical Director of Compassion-ate Care Hospice of Boston. As Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Tuft’s Medical School and an instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Merchant teaches students, residents, and fellows. He is also a Certified Medical Director, is on the board of the American Medical Directors Association/Massachusetts Chapter, and runs an active geriatric medicine practice.
